COAST RADIO COMPANY, INC.Promotion Assistant Intern ProgramCoast Radio Company, Inc. radio station KKDV Walnut Creek California, KKIQ Pleasanton California and KUIC Vacaville California, regularly monitors the diversity of our workforce and has a strategy in place to ensure we have a workforce that reflects our community. To ensure this effort of diversity, Coast Radio Company has established the Coast Radio Company Promotion Assistant Intern Program. This program is designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment. The Promotion Assistant Intern works on a part-time, paid basis and receives practical experience in the general operation of the radio station's Promotions Department. As part of the Promotion Assistant Intern's responsibilities they are required to interface with other departments of the radio station giving them an overall perspective of other opportunities in radio. The Promotion Assistant Intern may also be a student in high school or college and may be able to utilize the work experience for academic credits in journalism and broadcasting. The Promotions Assistant Intern's duties include general preparation for radio station events including but not limited to the following:
QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must be out-going, highly energetic, detail-oriented, innovative with strong communication skills (verbal and written), and possess a desire to learn radio. The ideal candidate should possess a valid California driver's license and be available weekends and evenings and have the ability to lift 20-30 lbs. In addition, we require a letter or form from the College or University internship coordinator (or equivalent) confirming the internship is part of an approved curriculum or work-study program.
